“It's been 100 days since October 7th. 100 days since the devastating attack on Israel by Hamas. 100 days of separation for more than 100 hostages. 100 days of increasing violence in the West Bank. 100 days of bombs by the Israeli government that have claimed the lives of over 30,000 people in Gaza, thousands wounded, and over a million displaced.

Washington, D.C.Today, Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez (IL-03) and Congressman Robert Garcia (CA-42) released a letter to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas citing the American Civil Liberties Union’s recommendation to immediately terminate the contract with Loyal Source Government Services (Loyal Source) after reports of wrongdoing and mistreatment of migrants in detention facilities.

Washington, D.C.Today, Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez (IL-03) joined Rep. Nydia Velázquez (NY-07) to introduce a resolution calling for the abandonment of the Monroe Doctrine. The bill’s introduction coincides with the 200-year anniversary of the Monroe Doctrine, which has been used to justify American intervention in Latin American affairs throughout the policy’s history.
