Ramirez Statement on Musk’s Assault on Federal Government

CHICAGO, IL — Today, Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez (IL-03) released the following statement after the reports of Elon Musk and employees of his private companies and allies of Silicon Valley accessing the Treasury Department’s trillion-dollar payment systems and illegally shutting down the federal agency USAID. 

“The federal government is under assault. 

An unelected, unaccountable billionaire is stealing American data, persecuting federal employees, dismantling federal agencies, and taking control of taxpayers' dollars.

Musk and this Administration are breaking the law and laying the ground to dismantle the government. We should be fighting back!”
