Chicago, IL—Today, Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez (IL-03), local leaders, and regional organizations announced they are advocating to bring more than $31.1 million for the development of 15 community projects in IL-03. When allocated in the FY26 appropriations, the dedicated funding would increase the number of affordable housing units, expand safe outdoor spaces for students and communities, enhance infrastructure and road safety, and support workforce development in IL-03.

Ramirez (IL-03) released the following statement on Homeland Security Committee Republicans targeting and intimidating more than 200 civil society organizations, including religious groups, charities, and community-based groups, lawfully providing support to their communities, including immigrants and asylum-seekers.

Ramirez (IL-03), Sara Jacobs (CA-51), Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), and Mark Pocan (WI-02)  led 18 members of Congress to introduce the Block the Bombs Act. The legislation would withhold the transfer of offensive weapons to Israel and demand Israel’s compliance with U.S. and international law.
