Ramirez (IL-03) and Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32) introduced the AmeriCorps Access for Dreamers Act to expand education award opportunities and pathways into national service for Dreamers in our nation. The legislation provides access to the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award for DACA recipients who have volunteered to serve communities with the Congressional-created AmeriCorps.

Ramirez (IL-03),the Vice Ranking Member of the Homeland Security Committee, voted against the Republican-led H.R. 8752, the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act of 2025. According to the Congresswoman, the legislation would weaken intergovernmental collaboration, deconstruct effective national security policies, undermine global collaboration, and decrease efficiencies.

¡Junio es el Mes de la Herencia Inmigrante! Este mes, mientras celebramos a nuestras comunidades de inmigrantes, sus contribuciones y sus esperanzas para el futuro, recordamos las acciones audaces que debemos tomar para protegerlas. Ya es hora de que defendamos el derecho de asilo, ampliemos las vías hacia la ciudadanía y concedamos permisos de trabajo para todos.
