Ramirez Statement on 100 Days since October 7 Attacks and Escalating Violence in Gaza

Chicago, IL – Today, Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez (IL-03) released the following statement:

“It's been 100 days since October 7th. 100 days since the devastating attack on Israel by Hamas. 100 days of separation for more than 100 hostages. 100 days of increasing violence in the West Bank. 100 days of bombs by the Israeli government that have claimed the lives of over 30,000 people in Gaza, thousands wounded, and over a million displaced.

Today, I join the families of hostages and prisoners who are still praying for the safe return of their loved ones. I honor the lives lost on October 7 and the civilians murdered in Gaza. I am more certain than ever that the only way to justice and long-lasting peace is an immediate and permanent CEASEFIRE!”
