En Estados Unidos, todos tenemos derechos protegidos por la Constitución. No importa quién sea el presidente o nuestro estatus legal es importante que los conozcamos. 

CONOZCA SUS DERECHOS 

1. Si es detenido, tiene el derecho de permanecer callado y contactar un abogado. 

2. Tiene derecho a un proceso legal y que su caso sea presentado ante un juez de imigración.

SI ICE LO CONTACTA:

• En caso de que ICE visite su casa o trabajo, no abra la puerta hasta que le presenten una orden judicial. 
  • Si un agente de inmigración quiere mostrarle una orden judicial, debe mostrarla a través de la ventana o deslizarla por debajo de la puerta.
  • Para que sea válida, la orden debe estar firmada por un juez y debe tener su nombre correcto y dirección exacta.
• No ofrezca NINGUNA información de forma voluntaria. 
• No tiene que confirmar su estatus migratorio o lugar de nacimiento. 
• No presente documentación o información falsa, incluyendo un nombre falso. 
• No está obligado a firmar documentos en inglés, español, u otro idioma sin un abogado presente.

¿Conoce a un ciudadano estadounidense, veterano, miembro del servicio militar, o un residente permanente bajo la custodia de ICE o que será repatriado?

Know Your Rights

1. If you are detained, you have the right to remain silent and contact a lawyer. 

2. You have the right to a legal process and have your case presented before an immigration judge.

 IF ICE CONTACTS YOU:

• If ICE visits your home or work, do not open the door until they present a court order. 
  • If an immigration agent wants to show you a court order, he or she must show it through the window or slide it under the door.
  • For an order to be valid, it must be signed by a judge and include your correct name and exact address.
• Do not volunteer ANY information. 
• You do not need to provide your immigration status or place of birth. 
• Do not present false documentation or information, including a fake name. 
• You are not required to sign documents in English, Spanish, or other language without an attorney present.
